CoolSpools Described
CoolSpools converts iSeries AS/400 spool files to a variety
of PC file formats, including PDF, HTML, RTF, Excel and
CSV, saving time and money. Modernize your
business by distributing reports electronically over
the Internet, your Intranet, Extranet, or by e-mail.
Two optional, companion products, Communique and SlipStream, provide
e-mailing from a command or API, and conversion of database files
to HTML, Excel, and various text formats.
Communique Described
Lets you send email from your AS/400 or iSeries
using either a simple command or an API. It can
send email in plain text or HTML formats and
supports up to 32 attachments of all kinds from
any part of the IFS (not just QDLS as with SNDDST
and with no limitations on naming). You can also
create and manage named email address lists and
send messages to an entire mailing list with just
a single command. If Communique is installed, it
integrates with CoolSpools to provide native email
capabilities that allow you to send PDF and other
file types as attachments directly from the
CVTSPLSTMF command.
Slipstream Described
Turn the laborious process of running a query and getting the output into a spreadsheet into a simple one-step operation
Does for database files what CoolSpools does for
spooled files, converting them to Excel
spreadsheets, CSV, HTML and fixed-text formats.
Slipstream integrates with SQL, Query/400 and
QM/400 to let you run a query and save the output
in one of these formats. If you have Communique as
well, you can run a query, save the output as an
Excel spreadsheet and email it to your users all
with a single command! This makes it simplicity
itself to switch from sending queries out on paper
to emailing your customers a spreadsheet: just add
a single command to your CL programs!

IBM's AFP Sampler package. This document demonstrates
